When Luke Herdman's Mum decided to have a party she decided it needed to be something special!
So she booked my band - LAPSE OF REASON, but with one little extra - her son Luke (who I have been teaching guitar to for the last 18-months) had to get up for a jam session.
Well, we all thought that was a great idea!

Fairfield Intermediate Concert 2008 |

Once again, it was a huge night at Fairfield Intermediate to celebrate the years learning with a concert. As usual, the auditorium was packed with Mums and Dads, brothers and sisters, and more.

Michael Pawley wins BEST GUITARIST |
|
A great performance by Michael Pawley in his band at Barclay Intermediate's 2008 Battle of the Bands saw Michael win the coveted "Best Guitarist" award.
Well done and what a fantastic performance, great solo - solid and awesome.
There is nothing easy about performing live in front of your peers, friends, and family but he has done well.
I've been teaching Michael about 3 yrs now and have watched him improve all the time.... boy oh boy I can't wait to see this lad at 16 - he'll be teaching me!!!

Christopher Hommel's Band perform Crush Crush by Paramore |

Barclay Intermediate School has an annual Batte of the Bands, and in 2008, Christopher Hommel was one of my students who made the cut and performed with his band in front of most of the school, heaps of parents, siblings and spectators.
Well done to all the budding musicians who performed - it is pretty amazing considering these kids were all only 11 - 12yrs old!
Anyway, watch the video as Chris and his band perform Crush Crush by Paramore... I'n keeping an eye on your fingers, Chris!
One thing you've got to remember is that Chris had only being playing guitar about a year when he performed - now that is amazing!!!
