After much debate, we decided to change the name of our band to: LAPSE OF REASON. Previously, we were called "The Savages" but too many folks were automatically thinking we were heavy-metal or something nasty... which we're not! Check out the band's website.

A fantastic effort this year from the Kids who played to an audience of 300+. For something a little different, I asked Anthony Fiztgerald, the singer from our band LAPSE OF REASON, if he wouldn't mind singing some of the kids. Well, what a success!!! With the students blasting out the music and Anthony singing instead of my shocking vocals, it was a lot of fun. Check out the list of songs and they played:

In a fantastic effort one of my students, Kiko, worked with the teachers at his school and formed a band called HOT FUZZ. They practiced heaps and recorded 3 songs, then released a CD. The papers came around, took all their photo's and gave them a writeup. Well done Kiko - all that practice has paid off! At a party in 2007 some folks wanted a song, so I asked my daughter Samantha (8yrs) if she would be kind enough to get my Ovation Acoustic from the car. Sure enough she went and got it, but unfortunately dropped it and snapped the neck from the body. I've had this guitar since my Dad bought it for 21st birthday many years ago (not that many really!). Fortunately it was repairable and my insurance company was kind enough to cover the costs. The Ovation's back at home now and, its great to be playing it again!
